Tour Tips:
  • Wear good shoes! This is a hike down into a canyon and back up (approximately .5 miles each way). We recommend close-toed hiking sandals or shoes. Flip-flops are NOT recommended.
  • Bring a water bottle or Camel Back-style water bladder. The only water on the tour is the creek (sometimes IT even dries up), and we certainly wouldn't recommend drinking it!
  • Bring snacks. Our tours routinely last up to 4 hours, depending on the group size and questions asked. If you didn't eat a late breakfast, it can make for a stomach-growling wait to eat.
  • Dress for the weather. Temperatures in the canyon tend to be much warmer than on the top. Layers and light clothing help make the tour more enjoyable. Don't leave that sweater or light jacket though… the temps can fluctuate greatly certain times of the year.
  • Bring a day-pack. Since you are going to have water, snacks and a jacket/clothing to shed, bring a small day-pack to put it all in. That will leave your hands free and help prevent losing anything.
  • Be ready for an adventure! When you consider the remote location of our tours, we try to accommodate them rain or shine. Be ready to embrace Mother Nature's whims and we'll still make it fun!
